  • Step 1. Consult your pediatrician about your concerns and seek a referral for an autism evaluation.

  • Step 2. Get an autism evaluation from a developmental pediatrician or a psychologist.

  • Step 3. Obtain a diagnosis and get a prescription or Letter of Medical Necessity.

  • Step 4. Get an authorization from your insurance company to start services with an ABA Assessment.

  • Step 5. A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will assess your child’s specific needs and develop a treatment plan.

  • Step 6. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will submit the treatment plan to your insurance for approval.

  • Step 7. Therapy sessions start with a Behavior Technician. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will supervise the sessions, provide parent training, and update the treatment plan as needed.
